SIKATA HOUSE

Designed as part of The Vela Properties project, Sikata House mirrors the sandy warm tones of the surrounding beaches, clifftops and bushlands. Exuding all the hallmarks of the global traveller, the home is an exploration of the concept of wabi sabi. This elusive beauty of imperfection is aptly showcased through the use of stunning hand crafted materials, vintage furniture pieces, and treasures sourced from all over the world. There is an ephemeral feeling of beauty that pervades the home and stays with you long after you leave.

With the use of natural materials and textures, Sikata House offers 4 expansive bedrooms, multiple living areas and outdoor zones, along with the perfect blend of carefully curated design elements and the rawness of the Australian coastal palette.

Located in the “golden grid” of Byron Bay, the home is just a short 100m stroll to local cafes, restaurants and a 200m walk to the beach through a gorgeous bush track. Featuring 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas and lushly landscaped outdoor entertaining areas, it is the perfect space for multiple families and larger groups to reconnect and unwind. Sikata House is light filled and designed specifically for entertaining and hosting larger groups boasting a number of open plan zones and break out spaces as well as a perfectly oriented, north facing alfresco space with a heated pool, covered dining and sitting areas and BBQ space designed to be enjoyed year-round.
Rest and rejuvenation is easy to achieve with 3 luxurious king-size bedrooms including the master suite with its own beautifully designed ensuite and private balcony. Upstairs you will also find the playful bunk bedroom which sleeps 4 as well as the stunning main bathroom complete with a lush stone bath tub and raw materials. Designed by the renowned team at The Designory, every amenity and detail has been thought of, creating the ultimate barefoot getaway. This home is truly your home away from home – the perfect holiday destination to share with family and friends. The newly completed Sikata House is now available for photoshoots and holiday rental via AirBnB alongside it’s sister properties, Samudra House and Lavana House.
